CampusHaul Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 2025

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all moving, storage, labor, and logistics services provided by CampusHaul LLC (“CampusHaul,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking a service, paying a deposit, or receiving services, the customer (“you,” “your”) agrees to all terms listed below.

1. Estimates & Final Pricing

All quotes provided by CampusHaul are estimates, not fixed prices. Final pricing may adjust based on:

  • Actual labor time

  • Travel time

  • Stairs or elevator usage

  • Long walking distances

  • Disassembly or assembly

  • Oversized or specialty items

  • Additional items not listed in your inventory

  • Access challenges (parking, gate codes, loading zones, etc.)

Estimates are based solely on the inventory and information provided by the customer. Any changes in inventory or access conditions may increase total labor time and final cost.

2. Inventory Requirements

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • An accurate inventory list

  • Accurate access details (stairs, elevators, parking, gate codes, etc.)

  • Notification of any changes prior to move day

CampusHaul is not liable for delays or additional labor caused by incomplete or inaccurate inventory information.

3. Storage Terms

  • Storage units are first‑come, first‑served.

  • Units cannot be held without a non‑refundable reservation deposit.

  • Storage pricing is based on unit size, location, and availability at the time of reservation.

  • Rates may vary if availability changes.

4. Reservation Deposits

A non‑refundable reservation deposit is required to secure:

  • Storage units

  • Move slots

  • Specialty service appointments

This deposit is applied toward your final balance.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Final invoices reflect actual labor time, not estimated time.

  • Unpaid balances may be subject to late fees or collection processes.

By paying the deposit or balance, the customer agrees to all Terms & Conditions listed on this page.

6. Move Day Communication

CampusHaul provides:

  • Real‑time updates through our customer portal

  • Arrival notifications

  • Weather or delay alerts

  • Tracking links when applicable

Customers must ensure they are reachable on move day.

7. Access & Safety

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Multiple flights of stairs

  • Long walking distances

  • Limited parking or loading access

  • Gate or building delays

  • Disassembly or assembly

  • Oversized or heavy items requiring special handling

CampusHaul reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe for the crew.

8. Packing & Liability

CampusHaul is not liable for:

  • Items not properly packed by the customer

  • Damage to items inside boxes, totes, or containers packed by the customer

  • Pre‑existing damage

  • Furniture made of particleboard or fragile materials

  • Electronics not packed in original or protective packaging

CampusHaul is responsible only for damage caused by negligence during handling.

9. Weather Delays

Weather conditions may affect:

  • Arrival time

  • Load/unload speed

  • Total labor time

CampusHaul will notify customers of any weather‑related delays. Weather delays do not reduce the final invoice.

10. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee.

  • Customers must notify CampusHaul as soon as possible if the move date or time changes.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.

11. Contract Formation

A binding contract is formed when:

  1. CampusHaul provides an estimate and Terms & Conditions

  2. The customer accepts the quote

  3. The customer pays the deposit or balance

  4. CampusHaul performs the service

Digital bookings through CampusHaul OS automatically generate a formal moving contract. Manual bookings are equally binding under these Terms & Conditions.

12. Governing Law

All services are governed by the laws of the state in which the service is performed. CampusHaul is licensed and insured for intrastate operations in:

  • Virginia

  • North Carolina

Interstate FMCSA authority is not required for local intrastate moves.

13. Agreement

By booking a service, paying a deposit, or receiving services from CampusHaul, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all Terms & Conditions listed above.
